Salewa Vento HEMP/DTS are durable, breathable MTB shorts, designed for all-mountain use, primarily made from natural, cooling, and sustainable high-performance material with a low environmental impact. It is reinforced with recycled polyester ripstop yarns for additional abrasion resistance. Durastretch panels for extra durability and versatility.
The anatomically reinforced leg ensures excellent freedom of movement on and off the bike.
The comfortable waist with Velcro adjustment features mesh at the back for better breathability and a button and zip fastening. With a laser-cut zip pocket on the leg, two side pockets, and reflective details for added safety when riding in the dark.
Fabric developed and patented by Dynafit based on high abrasion resistance. Products made of this light fabric are suitable for high-altitude climbing, trekking and hiking. Durastretch is a combination of nylon (polyamide) and a high content of stretch material. Most products made of this fabric are suitable for wearing all year round, thanks to the excellent sweat wicking. Cordura yarns are also woven in for abrasion resistance.
Ripstop is a fabric with high strength, made using a special technique. Thin threads are woven into the fabric at a distance of 5-8 mm, giving it a articulated structure. This provides increased tear strength. In practice, it works by causing the tear to jam against the reinforced fibers which prevent it from continuing. Ripstop was developed in the USA during the Second World War for parachutes.
