Salewa Winter Mate 28 l women's backpack, suitable for ski touring or snowshoe hiking.
The backpack features a Dry Back Contact back system with EVA 3D channels designed to cool the back and reduce sweating, specifically tailored for women's backs. This ensures comfort even when descending walls or walking uphill.
The backpack's other features perfectly prepare you for winter: parallel ski fastening, a safety avalanche pocket that allows instant access to a shovel and avalanche probe, special fastening for an ice axe, snowboard, or snowshoes, and a zip around the entire backpack, ensuring easy access to its contents. Additionally, the backpack has a valuables pocket with a key holder and special buckles that are easy to handle even with gloves on.
The backpack is made of robust 420-denier polyester, which is twice as tear-resistant, and 750-denier polyester with a waterproof coating.
EVA, literally Ethylene-vinyl acetate is also known as Polyethylene-vinyl acetate i.e. PEVA. It is a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl acetate, as the name suggests. The weight of the vinyl acetate component is in the range of 10 to 40% and the remainder is ethylene itself. Its physical properties is as an elastomeric polymer, i.e. a substance that excels in high elasticity. Thanks to its unique composition, it ranks among the most light yet flexible and soft materials. It is therefore not a classic thermoplastic, which is often commonly used for the production of many products around us.
