When heading out with kids to school, the playground, or just for a ride along the bike path, what you want most is peace of mind – and a bike tyre that behaves predictably. Schwalbe Motion Big Apple E-25 20 is a kids’ tyre that focuses on comfort, confidence, and visibility, so you can concentrate on the ride, not every little bump. And that pleasantly “soft” ride feel is often what decides whether a child actually enjoys cycling.
Schwalbe Motion Big Apple is one of the higher-volume tyres that can absorb shocks even without complicated suspension – with the right pressure, the bike rolls smoothly and calmly on asphalt and hard-packed paths. The version with RaceGuard protection helps reduce the risk of everyday punctures, which you’ll appreciate most with daily riding. Reflective elements on the tyre sidewall improve visibility in the city and at dusk, where details often matter. On top of that, it’s a model with the E-25 recommendation, so it’s designed with safety in mind even for e-bikes with assistance up to 25 km/h.
The tyre is made in the 20x2.00 inch size and corresponds to the ETRTO designation 50-406, so it fits kids’ and junior bikes with a 20" rim. The tyre weight is approximately 430 g, which is a sensible compromise between comfort, durability, and a lively start. The ADDIX Green compound is designed with a focus on a more eco-friendly formulation and stable riding characteristics, and the manufacturer states a share of renewable and recycled materials. The recommended inflation range is between a minimum pressure of 2.2 bar and a maximum pressure of 4.5 bar, and the maximum load capacity of the tyre is up to 90 kg.
Schwalbe Motion Big Apple E-25 20" Black Reflex is a practical kids’ tyre for the city, bike paths, and trips where comfort, confidence in corners, and better visibility make sense. It’s suitable for regular bikes as well as pedelecs up to 25 km/h, and thanks to its higher volume it can make rides more pleasant even on rougher surfaces.
