When the trail drops into a steeper section, you want a brake that responds smoothly and predictably. The SHIMANO ALTUS BR-M375 brake for the rear wheel gives your ride confidence and control.
This mechanical disc brake works reliably in typical conditions and delivers predictable braking performance for everyday riding and trips.
The rear version helps you hold your line through corners and when braking downhill, keeping the bike stable and easy to read.
The two-piston caliper ensures even pad pressure, resulting in smoother modulation and better control of braking power.
Polymer pads contribute to refined operation and quiet performance, which you’ll appreciate on commutes and longer rides.
Brake technical designation: BR-M375.
Brake application: rear.
Type: mechanical disc brake.

Shimano Altus BR-M375 is a rear disc brake for cyclists who want a simple, functional solution without unnecessary complexity. It’s ideal where you value clear lever feedback and confidence when slowing down.
The combination of a two-piston caliper and polymer pads gives braking a pleasant, easy-to-control feel. In practice, that means a calmer ride in the city, on gravel, and on forest paths.
Thanks to compatibility with the R160PS rotor, you can easily match it to a bike setup where mechanical actuation makes sense. The result is straightforward braking that won’t distract you when you’re focused on your line.
