The Shimano SH-EX300 women's touring cycling shoes are multi-purpose, and they feature a breathable upper for everyday use.
Concerning the outsole, 20% of the material is recycled. The midsole features a layered EVA foam that absorbs heel shock to offer a more comfortable walking experience.
The stiffness index is 4. The recommended pedals for these shoes are PD-T8000 and PD-M324. The shoes are tightened with laces & the Secure Loop.
Upper material – Breathable Mesh. The outsole is rubber.
Mesh is a barrier material that is made from connected strands. These strands can be made of fiber, metal or any flexible material. The mesh fibers are joined together to form a mesh that has many different uses and applications. Mesh fabric can be highly durable, strong and flexible. They are known and commonly used in cases where liquid, air and fine particles need permeability.
EVA, literally Ethylene-vinyl acetate is also known as Polyethylene-vinyl acetate i.e. PEVA. It is a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl acetate, as the name suggests. The weight of the vinyl acetate component is in the range of 10 to 40% and the remainder is ethylene itself. Its physical properties is as an elastomeric polymer, i.e. a substance that excels in high elasticity. Thanks to its unique composition, it ranks among the most light yet flexible and soft materials. It is therefore not a classic thermoplastic, which is often commonly used for the production of many products around us.
