Shimano SM-MA-F220 220 mm disc brake adapter, P/PL2, front

Description

When the trail breaks into a steep descent, you want brakes that bite the rotor without hesitation. The Shimano SM-MA-F220 220 mm disc brake adapter gives you confidence in a clean installation of a larger rotor. The result is a calm, steady feel at your fingertips even where mistakes aren’t forgiven.

Main benefits

This adapter is used to mount a Post Mount brake caliper for a 220 mm diameter rotor onto a 200 mm Postmount mount. Switching to a larger rotor means more braking power and more consistent performance during long braking.

Compatibility with both the front fork and a frame with Post Mount makes it easier to standardize components across multiple bikes. Thanks to precise manufacturing, the caliper sits in the position where the pad makes proper contact with the rotor.

The adapter’s aluminum body keeps weight low while still being suitable for sporty use. Steel mounting bolts add confidence in the threads during repeated servicing.

The P/PL2 version is designed for a direct mounting style from Postmount 200 mm to a 220mm rotor. If you’re fine-tuning a Shimano braking system, the adapter will fit in naturally.
