With the Shimano XT BR-M8100 + BL-M8100 set, you can focus on the line on the trail, not the brakes. Engagement is easy to read, modulation is smooth, and control stays confident even on longer descents.
The two-piston hydraulic caliper for Cross Country delivers a precise feel at the lever and helps keep speed under control in technical sections. Thanks to Servo Wave technology, the pads move toward the rotor quickly, and a larger portion of the lever stroke is dedicated to braking power.
The BL-M8100 lever with I-Spec EV ergonomics offers more natural support and a more direct response when braking. You can adjust the lever reach without tools, so you can fine-tune your setup even for gloves.
Installation is straightforward thanks to the J-Kit system, which makes routing the hose through the frame easier. One-Way Bleeding technology simplifies bleeding and helps maintain a consistent lever feel.
Included are metal sintered pads with a cooling fin, designed to handle higher temperatures during repeated braking. A narrow-shaped option with organic pads is also supported, including the Ice Tech version.
Technical designation of the set: BR-M8100 + BL-M8100 for both front and rear brake.
Hydraulic actuation with mineral oil and hoses of the SM-BH90-SBM type.
Hose length for the front brake is 1000 mm, and hose length for the rear brake is 1700 mm.
Post Mount caliper mount and a two-piston caliper with an aluminum body and ceramic pistons.
This Shimano XT disc brake set is aimed at riders who want a clean cockpit, stable performance, and clearly defined bite. Compatibility with rotors from 140 mm to 220 mm lets you match braking power to the course and the bike. In practice, you’ll appreciate the confidence in modulation above all, as well as easy installation during a build or service.
