Shimano XTR SM-MA90-R disc brake adapter 180 mm, P/S, rear

Description

When you’re hard on the brakes on a long descent, you want the confidence that everything fits precisely, with no unnecessary compromises. The Shimano XTR SM-MA90-R 180 mm disc brake adapter helps bring the frame, caliper, and rotor together into one reliable setup.

Main benefits

It allows you to mount a caliper with the Post Mount system to a frame with the IS2000 standard, without complicated tweaking. Switching to a 180 mm rotor delivers stronger braking power and better control under load.

The lightweight aluminum construction keeps the caliper accurately positioned, so braking feels clean and free of unnecessary rubbing. Stainless steel bolts help maintain a dependable connection even with frequent washing and riding in wet conditions.

The adapter is designed for the rear brake, addressing the specific compatibility issue on the rear triangle of the frame. You’ll appreciate it both when building a bike and when upgrading brakes, when you want to stick with proven standards.
