The drink is based on waxy maize starch and hydrolyzed barley starch, which provides long-lasting energy and a low glycemic index. Waxy maize starch is a unique form of carbohydrate with a long chain and high molecular weight. It is absorbed very slowly and supports recovery after strenuous physical activity.

The drink is also enriched with essential electrolytes - sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, and chlorides. Calcium plays a significant role in energy metabolism and, along with magnesium and potassium, contributes to the normal function of working muscles. Sodium plays a significant role in the rate of body rehydration and affects the proper functioning of body fluids, such as during sweating and cooling of the body.

Hypotonic drinks contain a lower proportion of ions than blood plasma, making the contained substances easily transfer into the blood. Hypotonic ion drinks are suitable for aerobic activities where the athlete sweats a lot (running, cycling, etc.).
