I have a Cannondale Scalpel 2021 frame. I bought this bottom bracket with Ai and carbon Truvativ Descendant cranks also for Ai. The cranks had a chainring with a 3mm offset. On the biggest cog (1x12) the chain was cross-chaining a lot. So I bought, blindly based on an estimate, a Garbaruk chainring with a 5.9mm offset. Now it seems ok to me, but I don't know why this error happened, everything should have fit.
Mám rám Cannondale Scalpel 2021. Koupil jsem toto středové složení s Ai a karbonové kliky Truvativ Descendant rovněž pro Ai. Na klikách byl převodník s Offsetem 3mm. Na největším pastorku (1x12) se řetěz hodně křížil. Koupil jsem tedy naslepo dle odhadu převodník Garbaruk s Offsetem 5.9mm. Teď se mi to zdá v pořádku, ale nevím proč tato chyba nastala, vše mělo sedět.
It lasted a year. After installation I was thrilled with it (crankset + bottom bracket), but the lifespan isn't great.
Vydrželo rok. Po montáži jsem z něj byl nadšený (kompletu kliky + střed), ale životnost nic moc.
Unfortunately the lifespan isn't much.. the bearings are in plastic cups, you have to keep an eye on the tightening so there isn't any play
Bohuzel zivotnost nic moc.. loziska jsou v plaskovych miskach, musi se hlidat dotazeni aby nevznikla vule
I’m thrilled. Moving the bearings out of the frame increased their distance and I figure it also reduced the load on them. I just don’t get how Ondra could know that Truvativ Stylo 6K Eagle DUB cranks 175 mm for Cannondale Ai go with it (identical to the original ones, named the same also with the Ai marking, which have a significantly shorter axle), when the axle length isn’t stated anywhere, only the Ai marking, and both the original and the new ones have the same. Thanks because it fit perfectly.
Jsem nadšen. Vysunutí ložisek mimo rám, zvětšilo jejich vzdálenost a počítám, že snížilo i jejich namáhání. Jen nechápu jak mohl Ondra vědět, že jsou k tomu kliky Truvativ Stylo 6K Eagle DUB kliky 175 mm pro Cannondale Ai (identické s původními, stejně pojmenovanými též s označením Ai, které mají výrazně kratší osu), když délka osy se nikde neuvádí jen označení Ai a to mají původní i ty nové stejné. Děkuji protože to sedlo perfektně.
