Swix sidewall trimming tool TA100R

Description

When a ski edge bites exactly where it should, the ride is smoother and you feel more confident in every turn. Swix sidewall planer TA100R helps match your edge geometry to your style and the snow conditions.

Main benefits

The Swix sidewall planer TA100R is designed for precise trimming of a ski’s sidewall so that a file or sharpening stone can reach the steel edge cleanly. This helps keep the edge angle more consistent and makes the work more predictable.

It helps remove plastic or sidewall material that often gets in the way of quality sharpening and unnecessarily dulls files. That saves you both time and consumables during regular maintenance.

It’s useful for home servicing as well as in the workshop whenever you need to prepare a ski for precise edge sharpening. You’ll notice the difference especially on harder snow, where the details of edge contact matter.

You’ll also appreciate the improved control, because sidewall trimming reduces the risk of the tool “skipping” off the edge. That adds confidence for delicate work at both the tip and the tail.

Technical parameters

Conclusion

The Swix sidewall planer TA100R is a small detail that can noticeably smooth out the entire sharpening process. When the sidewall isn’t in the way, the edge can be set more precisely and the ski responds more consistently.

It’s a tool for anyone who doesn’t want to just “run over the edges,” but maintain them systematically. With a well-prepared ski, you feel more control and fewer random variables.
