The Tacx Flux 2 Smart interactive trainer is one of the trainers where power isn’t transmitted through the tire, making it so quiet you’ll only hear your chain. An updated, more powerful version of the popular Flux trainer, with the option to use a bike with a long rear derailleur cage. Simply remove the rear wheel, mount the cassette on the trainer, and connect to an app on your smartphone or tablet.
The package includes 142/148x12mm thru-axle adapters. Or you can use a standard quick-release skewer.
The electromagnetic brake with a maximum output of 2000 W enables more accurate power transfer and measurement. It can simulate climbs from 0 to 16% as well as flat roads if you use the trainer without control.
Control of the Tacx Flux 2 Smart is handled via a phone (iPhone 4s and later or Android 4.3 and later) or tablet (iPad 3 and later, iPad mini and iPad Air or Android 4.3 and later) using a freely available app (App Store and Obchod Play). It is compatible with popular training apps Zwift and Tacx.
Communication between the trainer and a phone / tablet takes place via Bluetooth. The trainer is also equipped with ANT+ transmission, which is used to connect to a PC, using free apps available on the App Store, Google Play, or Microsoft store.
A chest strap is not included, but you can use chest straps with ANT+ or Bluetooth transmission, e.g. Tacx T1994 (Polar BT straps do not work). Another optional accessory is the T2092 tablet holder.

Ask a question
Hello, is this trainer also suitable for MTB 29 Boost thru-axles?
Dobrý den je tento trenažer vhodný i na MTB 29 Boost pevné osy ?
Hello, is a cassette included in the package? If yes, which one?
Dobrý den, je součástí balení i kazeta? Pokud ano, jaká?
Does this trainer have descent simulation—i.e., at a negative gradient does it use a motor to spin the cassette? If not, which model from Tavx, or Wahoo, has it?
Má tento trenažér simulaci sjezdu - tj, při záprném gradientu roztáčí motorem kazetu? Pokud ne, který model od Tavx, případně wahoo to má?
I use a Tacx Fortius trainer with software 4.0. Is it possible to use routes and recordings when switching to T2980? Is software included in the delivery and which one? Are there any additional fees required for operation? Does the braking unit also have a motor unit like Fortius? Thank you.
