The safe children's helmet, Oyo, is designed for easy use by small hands.
The shell, made using in-mould technology, is complemented by 10 ventilation holes to ensure quality airflow to the head.
Innovative safety features include the Uvex xTRA Shield forehead protection, temple guards, and the Uvex KID PROtect on the back of the head, which acts as an impact absorber and also prevents the head from sliding against the backrest of the child seat.
The helmet's safe and comfortable adjustment is supported by the FAS, Monomatic, and anatomical IAS systems.

In-Mold technology can be found most often in bicycle and ski helmets. The principle consists in injecting compressed polystyrene into a polycarbonate shell at high temperatures and pressures (approx. 330°C). This connection ensures high strength at very low weight. Polystyrene absorbs energy in the event of an impact, but it deforms, which is why the helmet must be replaced after a major impact.
