VAR Adapter

Description

This adapter allows the connection of the Var 2 stove to gas cylinders with a 3/8" thread, such as the Meva 2kg.

An adapter can be purchased for the VAR 2 stove, which allows it to be connected to cylinders with a 3/8" thread, like the MEVA 2kg. The adapter is first screwed onto the stove, and then the entire assembly is attached to the large cylinder. The detachment from the cylinder is done in reverse order, meaning first unscrew the entire assembly from the cylinder and then unscrew the adapter from the stove.

When connecting the VAR 2 stove to a large cylinder, the flame must be adjusted to a lower power during operation, as these cylinders have a much higher pressure than butane canisters. The point is that if the flames "envelop" the pot, cooking does not speed up significantly, and gas consumption increases considerably.
This note applies generally because it is always beneficial to regulate the stove's power. The VAR 2 stove is powerful to ensure it can cook even when the cylinder is cold and running low, only then is it opened to full power. Less powerful stoves operate at full capacity constantly, with no increase in power possible and they stop working on a cold cylinder.
