Wolf Tooth RoadLink derailleur hanger extension

Description

The Wolf Tooth RoadLink is a solution for 10 and 11-speed road derailleurs that enables shifting on cassettes with larger sprockets needed for steep mountain climbs.

The RoadLink does not compromise shifting precision and speed on the smaller cassette sprockets but helps the derailleur shift more easily to the larger ones. It's important to note that the RoadLink only physically extends the derailleur hanger and does not change the derailleur's capacity, which should be considered when upgrading your bike.

10-speed cassettes:
11-32: usually not required - GS cage derailleurs work
11-34: suitable for single chainring (ensure derailleur capacity suffices for double chainring)
11-36: suitable for single chainring (ensure derailleur capacity suffices for double chainring)
11-40: suitable for single chainring (ensure derailleur capacity suffices for double chainring)
11-42: not supported

11-speed cassettes:
11-32: usually not required - GS cage derailleurs work
11-34: suitable for single chainring (ensure derailleur capacity suffices for double chainring)
11-36: suitable for single chainring (ensure derailleur capacity suffices for double chainring)
11-40: suitable for single chainring (ensure derailleur capacity suffices for double chainring)
11-42: not supported
10-42: not supported

- Compatibility with double chainrings on cranks is possible only with derailleurs with GS cages.
- The RoadLink is mounted only on standard derailleurs and is optimized for 10 and 11-speed Shimano derailleurs, but it also works well with 9-speed derailleurs.

- Sram derailleurs work too, but not 1x rear derailleurs X-HORIZON.

- Campagnolo derailleurs work best with cassettes up to 11-36 teeth.
- Triple chainrings are not supported (derailleurs, even with GS cages, cannot accommodate such a large range).
- Native direct mount frames are not supported.
- With Shimano derailleurs without a clutch mechanism, a chain guide to prevent chain drop (front derailleur or chain guide) may be needed, especially for rough or off-road use.
- Due to variations in derailleur hanger geometry, chain length, gearing size, B-screw setting, and suspension configuration, individual results will vary.
- The maximum dimension of 7.9 mm (as shown in the last image) is governed by Shimano's specification, but several derailleur hanger brackets do not meet the specification. To install the RoadLink, filing might be required on some derailleurs.

- For Sram road shifters Exact Actuation (10 and 11 sp.), which work with MTB derailleurs Exact Actuation that can easily handle 36 or 40 teeth on the largest sprocket (and for 1x are available with a cage lock) or CX1 derailleurs, the use of a RoadLink will not be necessary.
