Not all little future pros start their cycling journey at the same time. While the woom 1 balance bike is designed mainly for small children from around 18 months, the Woom 1 PLUS gets kids from age three moving and introduces them to the world of cycling through play. This balance bike comes including the SURFBOARD footrest, where little daredevils can place their feet to surf on their balance bike as if riding on clouds.

The woom 1 PLUS balance bike has a lightweight, high-quality AA-6061 aluminum frame with butted tubes and beginner-friendly geometry that includes 14″ wheels, an extremely low top tube, a very low riding position, a long wheelbase, and forgiving steering geometry that ensures stability, good balance, and more riding enjoyment. The superlight 40 mm forged aluminum stem with a +15° angle is designed with no protruding bolts to get along with every child’s knee, and it features two Allen bolts (5 mm) for secure handlebar clamping.

Wide, ergonomically designed, lightweight BMX-style aluminum handlebars with a high rise for maximum adjustability, sandblasted and black anodized, have a 19 mm grip diameter that’s suitable even for very small hands, and a width of 500 mm. woom Ergogrip grips are the smallest of their kind, with an ergonomically shaped surface made from non-toxic material and extra-large-diameter ends for improved protection, and they stay firmly on the handlebars thanks to a screw-on mechanism.

The balance bike is equipped with two independently operated mini V-brakes with a child-friendly leverage ratio and an ergonomic brake lever with reach adjustment, suitable even for very small children’s hands, plus high-quality low-friction Jagwire cable housings for smooth, light operation. The rear brake features a striking green brake lever and matching brake pad to prevent mixing up the front and rear brakes.

The wheels are fitted with superlight Soopa Doopa Hoops aluminum rims, narrow lightweight aluminum hubs with sealed bearings, and an especially narrow rear hub for extra leg clearance. Installation and removal are easy with a 5 mm Allen key, and 16 lightweight, extra-robust crossed stainless-steel spokes ensure strength and stability. Schwalbe Little Joe 14 x 1.4″ woom edition tires with good cushioning, low rolling resistance, and secure grip are equipped with Schrader valves for easy inflation at any gas station, and reflective sidewall stripes for optimal visibility even in poor light.

The ergonomically adapted saddle is designed with children’s pelvic bones in mind and is made from non-toxic material with side protection for leaning against walls. The woom footrest made from high-quality maple plywood is varnished and fitted with anti-slip tape, and it is pre-installed on the balance bike.

The balance bike is suitable for children aged 3 to 4.5 years and a height of 95 to 110 cm.
