On gravel, resistance and vibrations from rough surfaces slow riders down. To counter this, Zipp applied Total System Efficiency specifically to the challenges of gravel roads. The wide rim profile increases air volume, allowing for lower tire pressures without the risk of slipping. This means you minimize surface vibrations while maintaining grip in corners and traction on climbs. The rim profile also creates a smooth transition with gravel tires for unparalleled aerodynamic efficiency on gravel.
And even though the 303 XPLR S rim is extra wide, it's lightweight to keep you fast and fresh even on long, fulfilling days in the saddle.
The Zipp 303 XPLR S is only compatible with approved tires.
An ultra-wide internal profile for reduced rolling resistance and the ability to ride with pressures below 30 psi (2.1 bar). The hubs used are Zipp 76 at the front and Zipp 176 at the rear with a CenterLock interface for brake rotors. The maximum tire pressure can be 50 psi (3.45 bar).
