Academy Grade 2 Edition Funtasy is a lightweight 14" children's bike with quality components. Suitable for children from 95 cm, aged 2 to 4 years.

The weight of the bike has a significant impact on how much kids enjoy riding. A quality children's bike must be lightweight and easily adjustable. Therefore, the bike weighs just 5.3 kg and is equipped with high-quality components. The lowered top tube makes getting on and off easier for children.

Stem
The patented Syntace Vario stem grows with the child in both height and length. It is smoothly adjustable and 100% stable in every position.

Q-factor
The Q-factor describes the total width of the cranks and plays an important role in pedaling efficiency. Ideally, the bike's Q-factor should match the natural step width of the rider. A smaller Q-factor is more ergonomic, whereas a too large Q-factor forces the feet into an "X" shape while pedaling. This makes ergonomically correct, smooth pedaling impossible, which can lead to knee pain and quick fatigue. Academy bikes have one of the smallest Q-factors on the market and are therefore ideally designed for children.

Saddle

The flat saddle provides maximum support and prevents slipping off. The optimal saddle cover (neither too soft nor too hard) prevents sinking in and provides a comfortable and secure seating position, increasing comfort and the joy of riding!

Tires
Because Academy children's bikes focus on the balance between strength and weight for children, the bike features lightweight and narrow VEE Tire Co. Rail Jr. tires. Their tread is ideal for both city riding and gravel paths. Additionally, they look great and offer the necessary visibility in traffic thanks to reflective stripes.

The developers of Academy bikes, in collaboration with the German Institute for Orthopedics, Osteopathy, and Sports Medicine (DIOOS) led by Dr. Andreas Elsner, have succeeded in developing ultra-light children's bikes that meet the latest ergonomic requirements. All models are lighter than 40% of an average child's weight, and frames with low and narrow central assemblies allow effortless pedaling. Short cranks and an upright seating posture always ensure that feet can reach the ground while maintaining an ergonomic knee position while riding.
