Description

AMULET 16 Fun kids’ bike raspberry pearl/silver is a 16" children’s city and leisure bike designed for first independent rides and basic handling practice. It’s a simple hardtail with no suspension in an affordable class, built on durable components with a single-speed 1x1 drivetrain. Thanks to its low weight of 7.2 kg, it’s aimed at parents who care about control and easy handling in real-world use (starting off, stopping, pushing the bike).

Frame and geometry

The basis is the aluminum frame AMULET 16" ALLOY SG5 made from alu alloy, complemented by a rigid aluminum fork AMULET 16" ALLOY SG5; the design is chosen with low weight and easy servicing in mind. The geometry follows children’s ergonomics: a short stem and appropriate handlebar width help with reach and stability at low speed, which is crucial for a 16" bike. The bike is supplied in size 16". The drivetrain is single-speed 1x1 without shifting, with a 28T chainring and a 16T rear sprocket/cassette; the chain is KMC, the cranks are STEEL 114 mm, and the bottom bracket is NECO B910. The brakes combine a front rim brake PROMAX TX122 (ALLOY V BRAKE) operated by an AMULET PLASTIC lever and a rear COASTER BRAKE integrated into the hub for braking by backpedaling. The wheels are built on ALLOY 16H rims with STEEL spokes; the front hub is STEEL 16H and the rear is STEEL COASTER BRAKE. WANDA 16" tires suit universal use on asphalt and hardpacked paths. The cockpit features RACELIGHT ALLOY 480 mm handlebars and a RACELIGHT ALLOY 40 mm WITH PAD stem with padding, the seatpost is ALLOY 27,2x180 mm and the saddle VL-5086; the pedals are PLASTIC HF-818. The package includes balance wheels (training wheels).

The aluminum frame and rigid fork give the bike more direct power transfer and predictable response when setting off, which is beneficial on a children’s bike for learning how to use the pedals. The single-speed gearing and lack of shifting reduce operating demands and minimize the risk of mis-shifting when starting up a gentle incline. The combination of a front V-brake and rear coaster brake offers two different braking techniques; the coaster brake is intuitive for beginners, while the front lever also teaches how to use a brake lever and modulate braking.
