Cervélo Aspero-5 gravel frame set Five Black

Description

Cervélo Aspero-5 gravel Five Black frameset is a race-focused foundation for a fast 700C gravel bike. It’s aimed at experienced riders who care about aerodynamics, clean integration, and direct power transfer. Within its category, it’s a premium frameset designed to be built up to your own priorities.

Frame and geometry

The frame is made from a carbon composite with a monocoque construction and is paired with a carbon fork. The aerodynamic design features internal cable routing and integrated storage in the downtube. The geometry is race-oriented yet stable, and optimized for different tire widths. Sizes are 48, 51, 54, 56, 58, and 61, with a head tube length of 75 to 203 mm. Chainstay length is 422.5 mm, and maximum tire clearance is 45 mm.

Components

Drivetrain: The frameset is ready for 1x or 2x gravel drivetrains depending on the chosen build. The bottom bracket is threaded BSA for easy service and broad compatibility.

Brakes: Both the frame and fork use a flat mount interface for hydraulic disc brakes. Rotor size depends on the fork choice and the adapters used in the specific build.

Wheels and tires: The frame is designed for 700C wheels, i.e., 28". Tire clearance is up to 45 mm for fast, higher-volume gravel tires.

Cockpit: The package includes a carbon handlebar, carbon stem, and carbon seatpost. The setup supports clean hose and cable routing as part of an integrated build.

Ride characteristics

The race geometry with a longer front triangle promotes stability at high speed on gravel. The 422.5 mm rear end keeps the bike agile, but without nervous reactions in technical terrain. Clearance for tires up to 45 mm lets you fine-tune traction and vibration damping to match the surface. The aerodynamically shaped frame with an integrated cockpit is geared toward higher speed on the flats and in the wind.

Who it’s for

The Cervélo Aspero-5 frameset is for riders building a fast gravel bike for racing, quick training rides, and long transfers at a high pace. You’ll appreciate it if you want an aerodynamic gravel frame with integrated storage and the option to run different tire widths front and rear. It also makes sense for riders who value serviceability thanks to the threaded BSA bottom bracket.
