Cervélo Aspero-5 gravel frameset Digital Moss

Description

Cervélo Aspero-5 gravel frameset Digital Moss is a race-focused gravel bike for riders building a bike with an emphasis on speed and aerodynamics. It sits in the higher performance class and is aimed at racing as well as fast gravel training rides. It’s a custom-build frameset, including a carbon cockpit and seatpost.

Frame and geometry

The frame is made from a carbon composite with a design for internal cable routing and an integrated head tube. The bottom bracket uses a threaded BSA interface, which makes servicing and bearing replacement easier. The geometry is race-oriented and is designed for quick handling on 700C wheels while maintaining stability at high speeds.

Sizes are 48, 51, 54, 56, 58, and 61. Reach is 369 to 413 mm and stack 500 to 625 mm depending on size. Chainstay length is 422,5 mm across all sizes.

The frame accommodates tires up to 45 mm wide. It includes integrated storage in the down tube and compatibility with a top-tube bag. The fork is carbon and supports clean routing of the brake hose.

Components

Drivetrain: The frameset is intended for a custom drivetrain build based on the chosen groupset. The bottom bracket uses the threaded BSA standard.

Brakes: The frame and fork are designed for disc brakes with flat mount mounts. The specific rotor size is chosen according to the fork and calipers used.

Wheels and tires: The bike is designed for 700C, i.e., 28". The frame allows tires up to 45 mm wide depending on the rim used.

Cockpit: The package includes a carbon handlebar, stem, and seatpost. This set is aimed at low aerodynamic drag and clean cable routing at the front.

Ride characteristics

The aerodynamically shaped frame and cockpit support high speed on flats and when riding in the wind. The race geometry with a stiff rear end transfers power directly, which is noticeable when accelerating. For stability on rough surfaces, clearance for wider tires helps, along with the ability to fine-tune tire width front and rear.

The consistent 422,5 mm chainstay length keeps the bike’s handling predictable across sizes. The taller stack on larger frames makes it easier to dial in fit without excessive spacers. Integrated storage reduces the need for bags that worsen aerodynamics.

Who it’s for

The Cervélo Aspero-5 frameset is for experienced gravel riders who want a build focused on racing and fast courses. It’s well suited to a mix of asphalt, gravel, and firmer farm tracks where pace and efficiency matter. Compared with endurance-tuned gravel frames, it places more emphasis on aerodynamics and low drag.
