Cervélo S5: THE FASTEST BIKE OF THE MODERN ERA
The Cervélo S5 has one mission - to outrun everyone else. Under the leadership of riders like Wout van Aert, Marianne Vos, and Christophe LaPorte, this model has already proven its superiority. In the 2022 Tour de France, it helped Wout achieve the highest points score in modern era history, with 480 points and a lead of 194 points over the nearest rival. The new S5 model reduced aerodynamic drag by 65 grams and increased the frame surface area while simultaneously reducing weight. Deeper frame sections maximize UCI-allowed shapes. The iconic V-stem has been further improved and the new fork simplifies the entire front end of the bike.
Additionally, a groundbreaking wheel concept was developed in collaboration with Reserve, improving stability and reducing drag in turbulent aerodynamic conditions.
Every cyclist wants to find the most aggressive riding position. The S5's V-stem inspires confident control at high speeds and makes it easier to set the ideal configuration. All necessary spacers are included with the bike, and the system is lighter by 53 g thanks to a simpler construction.
The S5 comes with 28 mm wide tires, but it has room for up to 34 mm (measured). The frame is optimized for wider Reserve 52/63 wheels to improve both stability and aerodynamic efficiency.
Thanks to new UCI regulations, the aerodynamic profile of the frame has been deepened and aerodynamic performance improved. The new S5 is compatible only with electronic shifting, which allowed for elegant modifications in shape and better component integration.
