It has always been the choice for top World Tour riders on the CSC and Cervelo Test Team, and now it's back for a new generation of riders. The new Soloist is designed for riders and racers who want a high-performance machine for everyday training and racing.
It offers a balance of low weight and aerodynamic advantages, providing a bike that is truly "just right". The Soloist is a bit lighter than the S5 but significantly more aerodynamic than the R5 and uses the threaded BB shell found on the R5-CX. It's a race bike capable of handling both mechanical and electronic shifting, training miles in any weather, and has the potential to accelerate at just the right moment. This is the Soloist.

The handling geometry for the Soloist is directly derived from the R5. The R5 is favored by professionals and amateurs alike for its stability, precision, and reliability on challenging descents. The Soloist benefits from our decades of race bike geometry development and is ready to go right from the start.
FAST LIKE THE S5, LIGHT LIKE THE R5
The Soloist places itself on the performance scale between the S5 and the R5, but with a price tag that's less "World Tour" and more "weekend road trip". It is 250g heavier than the R5 and 250g lighter than the S5. It is 190g slower than the S5 but 126g faster than the R5. It’s the "just right" choice for riders looking for a smart and thoughtful compromise.
Cable routing is internal for better aerodynamics, but it doesn't go through the stem. We developed our own system that routes cables under the stem but over the bearing cover. Whether you're adjusting the position or lending the bike to a friend with a different stem length, you won't need to bleed brakes for the change.
This bike is equipped with the electronic Shimano Ultegra Di2 groupset and top-of-the-line Reserve carbon wheels, 49 rear and 42 front, on Zipp hubs.
The Soloist can accommodate tires up to 34mm wide (measured) and wheels wide enough to support them.
BBRighT-47 bottom bracket shell, first seen on the R5-CX, is perfect for those who ride many miles without a team mechanic available every day. It ensures easy bottom bracket replacement and extends the frame's lifespan.
