When the Jumbo-Visma team decided it was time to compete in the XCO discipline, they turned to Cervélo for the perfect solution. The ZHT-5 model represents a new era for both Cervélo and the team, and together we embarked on racing. Our engineering know-how, proven in cyclocross (R5-CX) and gravel races (Áspero), now elevates the mountain bike to a level worthy of the Cervélo name.

The ZHT-5 is quintessential Cervélo: fast, efficient, and a joy to ride. With a head tube angle of 68.5°, a modern frame geometry, and a short rear end, the bike offers stability at high speeds and the agility needed in the racing pack. The cockpit provides ample maneuverability—whether tackling technical ascents or challenging descents.

Our goal is to make riders faster. The ZHT-5 transforms every watt of power into efficient forward motion, thanks to its lightweight hardtail design. However, performance must be complemented by control, which is why we developed a fast XC race bike that handles well even in technical sections.

MODERN GEOMETRY FOR TODAY'S XC RIDER

The ZHT-5 offers a fresh and progressive geometry – with a head angle of 69 degrees, a reach of 457 mm (size L), and chainstays measuring 430 mm. This design provides confidence in technical sections and allows for precise handling in all the challenges of modern XC tracks.

From our experience in cyclocross world championships, we know that threaded bottom brackets (BSA standard) are the best solution for reliability, strength, and easy maintenance. Thus, the ZHT-5 is the ideal companion not just for racing but also for winter training.
