The new Continental GrandPrix 5000 is here. The GP5000 tire is made from a 3-layer material with TPI 330 and has been enhanced with the Black Chilli compound. The Vectran Breaker safety belt wasn't left out of innovation either, with puncture protection increased by 20%, while the weight was reduced by 10g. The engineers managed to reduce rolling resistance by 12% compared to the GrandPrix 4000 S II in the new model.
Two new features have been added, such as Active Comfort Technology, designed to absorb vibrations, and Lazer Grip, providing better cornering grip.
