Continental introduces its new Kryptotal R from the Gravity range, designed for mixed terrain, available in various compound options (Supersoft, Soft, Endurance) and construction variants (Dowhnhill, Trail, Enduro), so the tyres can adapt to a wide range of riders and riding conditions.
The front (Fr) tyre version differs from the rear (Re) with its specific tread pattern, as each is subjected to different riding demands. Together, they form the ideal combination for mixed terrain.
A key benefit of this tyre is top performance for the specific demands of the front wheel, such as braking, traction, and stability.
This tread features both taller and shorter knobs to strike a balance between rolling efficiency and power transfer on mixed and loose surfaces.
Enduro is a durable, reinforced carcass construction with Apex protection, which gives the tyre greater stability in corners.
The Soft compound is soft and is particularly well-suited to mixed and loose surfaces.
A compound with a balanced ratio of grip and rolling resistance, focused on gravity. Tires with this compound allow you to optimize the rolling properties of the rear wheel during DH and are also suitable for combination with tires for Trail and Enduro.
Top level compound with a perfectly balanced ratio of grip, rolling resistance and durability. It is composed of refined synthetic rubber and natural rubber, to which additives forming a special surface are added. This mixture is produced exclusively at the Korbach plant in Germany.
This technology is based on a rubber layer that is inserted into the casing of the tire. The layer significantly helps to protect the sidewalls against twisting, which gives the tire more sidewall stability. This rigid sidewall then reduces the risk of punctures and keeps the tire on the rim. This protection is most used in DH, Gravity Enduro and Freeride.
Fully adapted for use on electric bikes, certified for bikes with a maximum assist speed of 25 km/h. These tires can of course also be used on conventional bikes.
Tubeless rims and tires have a design adapted for tubeless use, provided they are supplemented with sealant, tape and valves. Tubeless tires provide the rider with many benefits - the ability to run the tire with lower air pressure, which improves traction, lower rolling resistance compared to a tube tire, and less chance of a puncture. We can most often come across names such as Tubeless Ready (TR or TLR), Tubeless Easy (TLE) or Tubeless Compatible (TC), etc. Despite different branding from manufacturers, the essence of the system is the same.
