3C MaxxGrip uses the softest rubber compound that offers superior grip and slow rebound properties for unmatched traction, especially in downhill use.
Tubeless tyres have many advantages: you can ride with less air pressure. This gives you better traction and reduces rolling resistance.
And where there is no tube, it also reduces the risk of punctures. Maxxis TR tires are better prepared to be mounted with sealant than other "tubeless" tires. The bead of TR tires is completely covered with a rubber layer like a true tubeless UST tire.
Wide Trail (WT) construction optimizes the tread pattern and profile of the tire on today's modern wider rims. Traditional tires are designed around older, narrower rims and can create an overly square tire profile, resulting in less than optimal performance. WT tires are optimized for 35mm inner rim widths, but have been proven to work in the 30-35mm inner rim width range.
