A minimalist, technical unisex skiing backpack with intelligent features, the Expedition 36L is designed for demanding tours.
The Expedition 36 is ready to hold all your equipment needed for a challenging ski tour - plenty of clothing, a shovel, probe, ice axe, and helmet. All equipment can be stored to ensure it doesn't restrict your movement and provides the simplest access to your gear.
The backpack's outer material is PFC-free, very durable, and water-resistant. The large main compartment with a separate section for safety equipment offers ample space and is accessible via both a roll-top closure and a side zipper. Additionally, the backpack features an accessible front pocket and a side zippered pocket for a water bottle or skis.
The Expedition 36 is equipped with a modular system for attaching equipment for your skis and two ice axes, allowing you to secure them as needed for transport. For carrying heavier loads, the back system is reinforced with an anatomically shaped back panel, which can be removed if needed, allowing you to save additional weight.
Side loops for gear are located on both sides of the comfortable hip belt for attaching ice screws, carabiners, or other climbing gear.
Ripstop is a fabric with high strength, made using a special technique. Thin threads are woven into the fabric at a distance of 5-8 mm, giving it a articulated structure. This provides increased tear strength. In practice, it works by causing the tear to jam against the reinforced fibers which prevent it from continuing. Ripstop was developed in the USA during the Second World War for parachutes.
