Expedition 36 is ready to hold all your gear needed for a demanding ski tour - plenty of clothing, shovel, probe, ice axe, helmet. All equipment can be stored in a way that doesn't restrict movement, and access to your gear is as straightforward as possible.
The backpack's external PFC-free material is very durable and water-resistant. The large main compartment with a separate space for safety equipment offers ample space and is accessible via a roll-top closure or side zipper. Additionally, the backpack features an accessible front pocket and a side zip pocket for a water bottle or skis.
Expedition 36 comes equipped with a modular system for attaching gear for your skis and two ice axes, allowing you to secure them for transport as needed. For carrying heavier loads, the back system is reinforced with an anatomically shaped back panel, which can be removed to save additional weight if necessary.
Side gear loops are available on both sides of the comfortable hip belt for attaching ice screws, carabiners, or other climbing equipment.
Ripstop is a fabric with high strength, made using a special technique. Thin threads are woven into the fabric at a distance of 5-8 mm, giving it a articulated structure. This provides increased tear strength. In practice, it works by causing the tear to jam against the reinforced fibers which prevent it from continuing. Ripstop was developed in the USA during the Second World War for parachutes.
