The Free GTX Touring Pant is equipped with Gore-Tex C-Knit technology, making it permanently water and wind-resistant while still breathable and allowing moisture to escape.
The high waist made of lightweight nylon prevents snow from getting into the pants when skiing deep in powder. The fit can be adjusted by changing the length of the suspenders and using the Velcro on the sides. Perforations on the back part of the waist provide additional breathability.
These pants feature two spacious pockets on the upper thigh and a smaller pocket on the waist. Two side zippers allow for additional air circulation when climbing. The pants are reinforced with durable guards against ski cuts at the bottom of the legs.
Gore-Tex is a registered brand with a history dating back to 1958, often associated with waterproof fabrics. The Gore-Tex material consists of a narrow porous membrane made of expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (Teflon), which is laminated between other textiles, most often nylon or polyester. You can most often come across the term "Gore-Tex membrane".
Fabric developed and patented by Dynafit based on high abrasion resistance. Products made of this light fabric are suitable for high-altitude climbing, trekking and hiking. Durastretch is a combination of nylon (polyamide) and a high content of stretch material. Most products made of this fabric are suitable for wearing all year round, thanks to the excellent sweat wicking. Cordura yarns are also woven in for abrasion resistance.
