A breathable and very warm children's jacket is a great addition to a child's winter fun gear.
Maximum thermal comfort is ensured by the use of smart Polartec® Power Stretch® hybrid construction, which is used on the torso along with lighter and more breathable Polartec® Power Grid™ on the sleeves and hood. This combination ensures optimal airflow and prevents overheating even during more demanding ascents.
The hoodie features a well-fitting hood and two open front pockets.
Power Stretch is an advanced 4-way stretch fabric with excellent tensile strength and high breathability. The fabric is used in the production of base layers and possibly mid layers adapted from running to mountaineering. Although the fabric envelops the entire body, it absolutely does not hinder movement and also retains heat. It features a dual construction - durable outer layer, soft inner layer.
Power Grid technical fleece fabrics developed by Polartec keep you dry when you sweat. As such, their use is suitable in base layers and technical mid layers. The fabrics have a two-component knit construction. One surface wicks away sweat effectively and the other is fast drying. The Power Grid fabric garments are also very lightweight and easy to pack, so they don't take up too much space.
Sweat itself is odorless. However, in conjunction with textiles, they form an ideal medium for the multiplication of bacteria leading to the creation of unpleasant odors. The Polygiene® treatment concentrated on the surface of the textile forms a protective layer that destroys this bacterial growth through the action of a low amount of 100% concentrated silver chloride. This treatment is harmless to health. Thanks to this technology, it is possible to wash at a lower temperature and not as often, which is better for the environment.
