Description

The completely redesigned dual-chamber X2 shock absorber is an absolute milestone in the shock absorber market. Thanks to independently adjustable levels of rebound and compression for both high and low speeds, this shock absorber can be adapted to a wide range of downhill tracks, offering you performance like never before experienced.

The air chamber of the previous model was already optimized to be filled with a maximum air pressure of 300 PSI. This reduces the risk of damage during extreme jumps. The valve design was also changed to prevent air loss when inflating. New low-friction seals and optimization of the internal design for greater torsional stiffness also improve the already sensitive behavior.

The small expansion reservoir allows easier integration of the shock absorber into various frame designs.

The GRIP2 damping system adopted from suspension forks allows for optimal adjustment.

EVOL
The brand new modified one-piece large-volume EVOL air chamber significantly reduces the force needed to initiate the shock from a stationary position and adds high sensitivity to the absorber when handling small bumps. The running smoothness can be adjusted with internal spacers, allowing the rider to precisely tune according to specific requirements. Variable Valve Control (VVC)
Fox has put all its knowledge into this damping system. Based on the GRIP2 damper of suspension forks, compression at high and low speeds and rebound at high and low speeds can be set independently. The adjustment must be done carefully, but then it offers endless riding fun on any surface.
With the integrated variable valve control (VVC) system, the sensitivity of high-speed rebound is changed using a leaf spring, not by changing the preload. This requires finely measured functionality and adjustment.
Furthermore, throughout the development process, attention was paid to using low-friction materials. This allows for very subtle response and greatly increases comfort.

MCU elastomer bumper
This bumper made of Micro Cellular Urethane foam does not absorb oil and increases the progressivity of the end stroke.
