Description

The completely redesigned dual-chamber X2 shock absorber is an absolute milestone in the shock absorber market. Thanks to independently adjustable rebound and compression levels across a range of high and low speeds, this shock absorber can be adapted to a wide variety of downhill tracks, offering you performance that you've never experienced before.

The air chamber in the previous model was already optimized to be filled with a maximum air pressure of 300 PSI. This reduces the risk of damage during extreme jumps. Additionally, the valve design was changed to prevent air loss when inflating. New low-friction seals and optimization of the internal construction for greater torsional stiffness further enhance its already sensitive behavior.

The small expansion reservoir allows for easier integration of the shock absorber into various frame constructions.

The GRIP2 damping system borrowed from suspension forks allows for optimal adjustment.

EVOL
The all-new redesigned one-piece high-volume EVOL air chamber significantly reduces the force needed to break the shock absorber away from its rest position and gives the shock high sensitivity when handling small bumps. Smooth operation can be adjusted using internal spacers that allow the rider to precisely tune according to specific requirements.Variable Valve Control (VVC)
Fox has integrated all its expertise into this damping system. Based on the GRIP2 shock absorber from suspension forks, compression can be adjusted separately for high and low speeds, as well as rebound for high and low speeds. Adjustments need to be made cautiously, but afterwards, they offer endless riding fun on any surface.
With the integrated Variable Valve Control (VVC) system, high-speed rebound sensitivity is changed using a leaf spring rather than by adjusting preload. This requires a finely measured function and adjustment.
Additionally, throughout the entire development process, attention was paid to using low-friction materials. This allows for a very smooth response and significantly increases comfort.

MCU elastomer bumper
This bumper made from Micro Cellular Urethane foam does not absorb oil and increases the progressiveness of the end of the stroke.
