Hello, I have a Trek slash 7 model year 22/23 and I’d like to upgrade the brakes (for a reasonable price), but I’m not sure what to choose. I’d like some good pads so they’re quiet, so probably not metallic ones. My calipers are Shimano BR MT 420 and the rotors are SM-RT 66. And I’d also like to replace the BL M 4100 brake levers with something better, mainly shorter ones; I brake with just one finger - my index finger -, and because I like the brake lever close to the handlebars, with a long lever I end up pinching my middle finger. Probably SLX, maybe XT, here I don’t know what the difference between them is.
Dobrý den, mám kolo Trek slash 7 modelový rok 22/23. a chtěl bych vylepšit brzdy (za rozumnou cenu), ale nevím si rady s výběrem. Chtěl bych nějaké dobré destičky, tak aby byly tiché, takže asi né metalické. Třmeny mám Shimano BR MT 420 a kotouče SM-RT 66. A ještě bych chtěl vyměnit brzdové páčky BL M 4100 za nějaké lepší, hlavně kratší, brzdím jen jedním prstem - ukazováčkem -, a protože mám rád brzdovou páčku blízko řídítkům, tak si dlouhou páčkou přimačkávám prostředníček. Asi SLX, možná XT, zde nevím, jaký je mezi nimi rozdíl.
Hi, I have SRAM Code RSC brakes on my bike and I’d like to get some spare pads. Right now I probably have sintered pads in there—they make noise, mainly in the wet and when I spray them with brake cleaner. The noise doesn’t bother me; I care about power and that they don’t overheat too much. Which brake pads should I get? I want good performance in all conditions—dry, wet, hot, cold—and reduce overheating as much as possible. I have SRAM 200 mm rotors front and rear. I mostly ride enduro and bike parks. With new pads, is it better to bleed the whole brake system?
Dobrý den, mám na biku brzdy sram code rsc, chtěl bych si pořídit destičky do rezervy. Aktuálně tam mám asi sintrované desky - dělají hluk, hlavně při mokru a když je prostříknu čističem brzd. Hluk mi nevadí, jde mi o účinost a aby se moc nepřehřívaly. Jaké brzdové desky mám pořídit? Chci dobrou účinnost ve všech podmínkách - sucho, mokro, teplo, chladno a co nejvíce snížit přehřívání. Brzdové kotouče mám sram 200 mm vpředu i vzadu. Jezdím hlavně enduro a bikeparky. Je na nové desky lepší celý brzdov systém odvzdušnit?

Great.... my brakes were braking perfectly (Sram).... but the sintered pads in them were very loud in the wet.... after swapping to Galfer it brakes even more than perfectly and even in the wet and most importantly they don’t make a sound....
Skvělé.... mé brzdy brdily perfektně ( Sram).... sintrové desticky v nich ovšem za mokra velmi hlasité....po záměně za Galfer brzdí jeste vic než perfektně a i za mokra a hlavně nevydají ani tón....
