That's exactly what the FastRoad AR is, with an aluminum frame, carbon fork, and flat handlebars that create a comfortable riding position and offer more confidence than traditional curved road handlebars. It's a bike that is ideal for fitness rides to improve physical condition, but also for riding in the city.
Advanced Composite Carbon Frame
The FastRoad AR Advanced is built on an Advanced Composite carbon frame. We manufacture these frames ourselves in our factories using raw materials of the highest quality and employing advanced production methods and processes. As a result, they have high rigidity at low weight and provide excellent riding characteristics. The stiffer bottom bracket area improves power transfer when pedaling, allowing you to accelerate and climb hills faster and with less effort.
Excellent Handling
The frame geometry is adapted to flat handlebars and allows for an upright body position for confident control of the bike.
Hydraulic disc brakes provide strong braking performance and smooth modulation, improving bike control even in variable weather conditions. The brake calipers are mounted with modern flat mounts, and the 12mm thru-axles ensure the necessary rigidity. The OverDrive fork steerer increases steering stiffness, thereby enhancing bike handling.
High Comfort
The Giant ErgoContact saddle contributes to achieving the highest possible comfort, as does the carbon D-Fuse seatpost, which, thanks to its specific “D” shape, slightly “flexes” and helps absorb vibrations coming from the surface.
Higher comfort and confidence (especially on rough surfaces) are also supported by wider tires in the 700x40c size with a fine tread pattern. The tires are also tubeless – modern “tubeless” technology offers better riding characteristics and reduces the risk of flats.
High-performance raw carbon material with a high stiffness-to-weight ratio is used to produce the custom Advanced Composite material. The front triangle of the frame is assembled and molded as one continuous piece (monocoque) using a proprietary manufacturing process called Modified Monocoque Construction.
The D-Fuse seatpost was designed to absorb road shocks and vibrations so you can ride farther, faster. It works by slightly springing the seat post under load, thanks to its specific "D" shape.
The oversized fork steerer aims to increase the stiffness of the front of the frameset and steering for precise control. Oversized headset bearings (bottom 1 1/4" and top 1 1/8" on road bikes and bottom 1 1/2" and top 1 1/8" on MTB bikes) and tapered fork steerer are included for optimal steering stiffness .
