Both models offered are also fitted with a dropper seat post, specifically our own Giant Contact Switch seat post with internal cable routing. The dropper seat post gives you more confidence, particularly during descents, where riding with a lower saddle makes the experience more fun and safer.
ALUXX SL Aluminum Frame
The lightweight yet very rigid and strong aluminum frame is manufactured in our own factory from our high-quality ALUXX SL alloy. A notable feature is the chainstay design, allowing for a shorter rear triangle (435 mm) for better bike control, while also increasing clearance for rear tires (up to 2.5").
State-of-the-art aluminum material is made predominantly from 6011 alloy and delivers best-in-class strength-to-weight ratios. These framesets also feature unique welding technologies for a high-performance ride quality.
The oversized fork steerer aims to increase the stiffness of the front of the frameset and steering for precise control. Oversized headset bearings (bottom 1 1/4" and top 1 1/8" on road bikes and bottom 1 1/2" and top 1 1/8" on MTB bikes) and tapered fork steerer are included for optimal steering stiffness .
Tubeless rims and tires have a design adapted for tubeless use, provided they are supplemented with sealant, tape and valves.
