Goodyear XPLR Slick is part of a revolutionary wheel-and-tire system for gravel roads.
This slick gravel tire is designed for the ultra-wide Zipp 303 XPLR S and SW rims to deliver maximum speed and the best rolling performance on rough backroads or light off-road terrain.
It performs best in dry conditions. Today’s gravel wheel systems are mostly just slightly beefier versions of what exists on the road: light, stiff, narrow, and aerodynamic. The problem is that riding on gravel generates harmful vibrations that slow you down and increase fatigue over time. On top of that, gravel tires generally negate the aerodynamic benefits of traditionally narrow road rims.
The new XPLR wheel-and-tire system takes a completely new approach, optimizing component dimensions to achieve the fastest setup on the market. In addition to unrivaled aerodynamic benefits for gravel, the resulting rim width also allows for lower tire pressure, which helps filter vibrations for even greater energy savings.
M:Wall reinforcements in the sidewalls provide protection against punctures and flats, making it possible to run the lowest pressure possible. Finally, the tire bead dimensions are designed to ensure easy installation and a secure fit on Zipp TSS rims.
Only approved tires can be used on XPLR wheels.
