On gravel and broken backroads, you want calm hands and confidence through corners. The Tufo Gravel Thundero HD gravel tire has your back when the route loses its smooth surface.
The HD version is built for higher loads and higher operating pressures, so you can push the pace. At the same time, the soft compound and supple casing smooth out small vibrations that can make you lose the will to keep going on gravel.
The HD construction with stronger casing threads increases resistance to damage when riding over rocks, roots, or sharp gravel.
The tubeless TLR design helps reduce small punctures and lets you run a pressure that holds your line better.
The arrow-shaped tread pattern with overlapping center knobs rolls easily while still biting under braking and when leaned over.
The protective, flexible Jubena layer covers the sidewalls, so the tire handles gravel abrasion and impacts from stones better.
Designed for wheels with a rim diameter of 28 inches and a size of ETRTO 40-622.
The tire width corresponds to the French marking 700x40C.
Recommended pressure is in the range of 2 to 5 bar, i.e., 30 to 70 PSI.
