GT Grade Carbon Pro RAW gravel bike

Grade 2021 is around, which is fundamentally built for maximum adventure.

It is more comfortable, versatile, and adjustable than ever before. With a new look and purposeful redesign of the iconic Triple Triangle, the new GT Grade is designed for longer and faster rides across a wide variety of surfaces.

GT was at the forefront of the emerging gravel bike scene, being the first to introduce a model with a carbon frame equipped with disc brakes, designed for gravel road riding," said Patrick Kaye, GT's product manager. "The enhanced performance and added adaptability adapt the GT Grade to current trends."

The new GT Grade model features a completely redesigned Triple Triangle frame, which compared to the original model, has floating seat stays. This solution, thanks to increased vertical compliance, enhances comfort during all-day rides in diverse terrain.

The front fork of the top two carbon variants is equipped with flip chip technology, allowing riders to adjust the bike's geometry to the terrain and choose between increased stability or sharper steering performance by changing the position of the front axle. The axle can be shifted by 15 mm, increasing the offset of the dropouts from 55 mm to 70 mm. A smaller offset is ideal for gravel racing days, while 70 mm is handy when the bike is fully loaded with bikepacking bags.

The seat stays are made from a blend of lightweight carbon and glass fibers. A massive glass fiber core provides toughness and damping capabilities. An outer layer of carbon fibers increases stiffness. GT refers to this combination as Dual Fiber Dynamics, allowing riders to ride a bike that enhances control and reduces fatigue.

For long journeys and endless adventures, the Grade is equipped with mounting points on the fork and frame. You can attach a top tube bag on the top tube, there are points for a "anything cage" on the fork, and aluminum frames have bottle mounts even on the seat stays!

An important parameter is tire clearance. Grade follows current trends by equipping the wheels with tires that are 37mm wide, which is a good compromise for road and gravel rides. However, the bike can accommodate widths of up to 42 mm for real off-road adventures.

The Grade model is designed with ease of maintenance in mind and follows the brand's philosophy. The shifter and brake cables are routed externally. Di2 and the dropper post, which are not expected to require frequent replacement or service, have internal routing for a clean frame look. Grade also has no proprietary components, allowing riders to easily customize the bike to their preferences.
