Inov-8 Parkclaw G 280 builds on the Parkclaw 260 model and takes it to a much higher level. The concept remains unchanged and follows the extreme popularity of gravel bikes. For running shoes, this means a light and agile construction, familiar from road models, but modified to handle light trails with ease.
The outsole made from graphene-based G-GRIP has a fine tread pattern that holds up excellently on asphalt and is reliable even on light trails. The grip height of 4 millimeters, combined with its aggressive shaping, is sufficient for running on fields, forest paths, or trails. The density of the tread ensures a large contact area that won't disappoint even on wet smooth asphalt, where traditional trail shoes often struggle.
The cushioning layer is made from G-FLY graphene foam, providing the shoe with comfort, stability, and dynamism. The cushioning in the heel has reached 18 mm with an 8 mm drop. Thanks to the properties of G-FLY, especially its shape stability and high elasticity, the Parkclaw G 280 feels much lower. As a result, you get a shoe with excellent comfort even for very long road runs, yet it offers high flexibility, sensitivity, and proprioception. These features not only help you feel and respond to the terrain underfoot but also improve your running technique, as the feedback is instant and precise despite the thicker cushioning.
The shoe's upper is made of structured mesh with light arch stabilization and a more robust toe protector. The result is a lightweight and highly durable upper that neither hinders a faster pace nor copes better with uneven surfaces and obstacles than a purely road version. Here, too, we incorporate elements known from road shoes, adapted for light trail running needs. It's truly a versatile gravel concept in both body and soul.
