Ultralight frame with storage space
The carbon frame made from Advanced Composite material allows for swift acceleration, while the internal routing of brake hoses and cables simplifies the cockpit and creates space for necessary accessories. The modern frame geometry brings a more aggressive riding position, improves traction and stability, and provides more confidence on descents and at higher speeds. Easily accessible storage space, cleverly integrated into the lower frame tube, allows for safe transport of tools, nutrition, and other essentials.
Excellent comfort and handling
The lower-placed seat stays of smaller diameter improve shock and vibration absorption. The D-Fuse components also contribute to greater comfort and reduced fatigue on long and rough routes – the seatpost flexes slightly under load, and the handlebars are based on the same principle, without reducing stiffness when cornering, climbing, or riding out of the saddle (note: the Devote Advanced 1 model comes equipped with a telescopic seatpost). For a comfortable and ergonomic grip, the handlebars are flared in the lower grip.
Unmatched versatility
Thanks to the flip chip dual-position system located in the rear dropouts, you can change the wheelbase. A shorter wheelbase provides more responsive handling and greater "agility" of the bike. A longer wheelbase improves stability at higher speeds and traction, and simultaneously increases space for the rear tire (up to a width of 53 mm). The frame also allows for the choice of seatpost type – you can use either the Giant D-Fuse seatpost for higher comfort or a standard round (including telescopic) seatpost with a diameter of 30.9 or 27.2 mm.
High-performance raw carbon material with a high stiffness-to-weight ratio is used to produce the custom Advanced Composite material. The front triangle of the frame is assembled and molded as one continuous piece (monocoque) using a proprietary manufacturing process called Modified Monocoque Construction.
The D-Fuse seatpost was designed to absorb road shocks and vibrations so you can ride farther, faster. It works by slightly springing the seat post under load, thanks to its specific "D" shape.
The oversized fork steerer aims to increase the stiffness of the front of the frameset and steering for precise control. Oversized headset bearings (bottom 1 1/4" and top 1 1/8" on road bikes and bottom 1 1/2" and top 1 1/8" on MTB bikes) and tapered fork steerer are included for optimal steering stiffness .
