The Liv Devote Advanced 2 is an excellent choice if you're looking for a comfortable, fast, and fun bike that excels on challenging terrains and during gravel races.
The core element of the bike is its lightweight and stiff Advanced Composite carbon frame, which ensures a comfortable ride. For an aesthetic touch, the frame features an integrated seat clamp and internal cable routing. The frame has three bottle mounts and the option to install front and rear racks for trips with panniers. The larger space in the frame and fork allows for the use of wider tires.
The women's-specific Devote Advanced geometry is focused on lowering the top tube and shortening the rear end. This provides better handling, agility, and perfect control over the bike in all situations. The carbon frame utilizes your pedaling power for maximum efficiency, allowing for a fast and enjoyable ride on various types of surfaces.
In addition to low-positioned seat stays, the D-Fuse carbon seatpost, which has a special "D" shape and slightly flexes under load, also contributes to increased comfort. However, the bike frame is also compatible with a standard round seatpost with a diameter of 30.9 mm, so there is no problem installing a dropper post (as equipped on the Devote Advanced 1 model). Greater comfort upfront and less hand fatigue are ensured by the Contact XR D-Fuse handlebars.
High-performance raw carbon material with a high stiffness-to-weight ratio is used to produce the custom Advanced Composite material. The front triangle of the frame is assembled and molded as one continuous piece (monocoque) using a proprietary manufacturing process called Modified Monocoque Construction.
Compact Road revolutionized the look and feel of high-performance road bikes forever. A downward sloping toptube (from the headtube to the seattube) creates smaller front and rear triangles for a lighter, stiffer bike. It also makes it easier for riders of all sizes to have a perfect fit.
The D-Fuse seatpost was designed to absorb road shocks and vibrations so you can ride farther, faster. It works by slightly springing the seat post under load, thanks to its specific "D" shape.
The oversized fork steerer aims to increase the stiffness of the front of the frameset and steering for precise control. Oversized headset bearings (bottom 1 1/4" and top 1 1/8" on road bikes and bottom 1 1/2" and top 1 1/8" on MTB bikes) and tapered fork steerer are included for optimal steering stiffness .
A massively oversized bottom-bracket/chainstay area features a fully integrated, 86-millimeter wide bottom-bracket design (92-millimeter wide for off-road bikes). Asymmetric chainstays provide additional stiffness on the driveside and stability on the non-driveside.
A massive rectangular down tube and an oversized top tube create excellent lateral and torsional steering precision at the front end. A precisely designed, rectangular shaped downtube provides unprecedented steering and pedaling stiffness.
Tubeless rims and tires have a design adapted for tubeless use, provided they are supplemented with sealant, tape and valves. Tubeless tires provide the rider with many benefits - the ability to run the tire with lower air pressure, which improves traction, lower rolling resistance compared to a tube tire, and less chance of a puncture. We can most often come across names such as Tubeless Ready (TR or TLR), Tubeless Easy (TLE) or Tubeless Compatible (TC), etc. Despite different branding from manufacturers, the essence of the system is the same.
