With the new Liv Lurra model, you'll have endless fun on the trails even without rear suspension. This bike features modern trail geometry, 130 mm of front travel, and of course, includes a dropper seatpost.
The core of this bike is the ALUXX SL aluminum frame with a modern design. It is equipped with a slacker fork with a 66° head angle, enhancing control on descents and technical sections. Conversely, during climbs, you can enjoy a steeper seat angle, which places you in the right position for easy and effective tackling of steep ascents. This also makes for a more playful and well-handled bike thanks to its shorter rear construction.
The frame geometry is fully optimized for smaller 27.5" wheels (sizes XS and S) or for larger 29" wheels (sizes S, M, L) with varying riding characteristics. With smaller wheels, you can expect well-balanced riding properties and excellent handling. Choosing 29" wheels can improve the ability to overcome obstacles, such as roots or rocky sections, thanks to easier rolling over hurdles.
Exceptional front suspension is provided by the Giant Crest 34 air fork with 130 mm of travel, which perfectly smooths out terrain and eliminates both large and small bumps. For maximum comfort on descents, there is a dropper seatpost, and wider tires give you even more confidence. The bike is ready for tubeless operation — modern tubeless technology enhances riding performance due to lower tire pressure and significantly reduces the risk of punctures.
State-of-the-art aluminum material is made predominantly from 6011 alloy and delivers best-in-class strength-to-weight ratios. These framesets also feature unique welding technologies for a high-performance ride quality.
The oversized fork steerer aims to increase the stiffness of the front of the frameset and steering for precise control. Oversized headset bearings (bottom 1 1/4" and top 1 1/8" on road bikes and bottom 1 1/2" and top 1 1/8" on MTB bikes) and tapered fork steerer are included for optimal steering stiffness .
A massively oversized bottom-bracket/chainstay area features a fully integrated, 86-millimeter wide bottom-bracket design (92-millimeter wide for off-road bikes). Asymmetric chainstays provide additional stiffness on the driveside and stability on the non-driveside.
Tubeless rims and tires have a design adapted for tubeless use, provided they are supplemented with sealant, tape and valves. Tubeless tires provide the rider with many benefits - the ability to run the tire with lower air pressure, which improves traction, lower rolling resistance compared to a tube tire, and less chance of a puncture.
