This bike features a modern trail geometry, 130 mm of front travel, and, of course, a dropper seatpost.
The core of this bike is the ALUXX SL aluminum frame with a modern design. It's equipped with a more laid-back fork with a 66° head angle, which enhances handling both during descents and technically challenging sections. In contrast, on climbs, you can enjoy a steeper seat angle that positions you correctly for easy and efficient handling of steep ascents. This also provides you with a more playful and well-controllable bike due to the shorter rear end.
The frame geometry is fully optimized for smaller 27.5" wheels (sizes XS and S). With smaller wheels, you can expect well-balanced riding characteristics and excellent maneuverability.
Outstanding front suspension is provided by the Giant Crest 34 air fork with 130 mm of travel, which perfectly smooths out the terrain and eliminates both large and small bumps. For maximum comfort on descents, there's a dropper seatpost, and wider tires offer even more confidence. The bike is ready for tubeless use – modern tubeless technology improves the riding characteristics due to lower tire pressure and also significantly reduces the risk of flats.
The Taiwanese company founded in 1972 focusing on bicycles began manufacturing them first in its home country of Taiwan and then in Europe, North America and other countries. Innovations are inherent to Giant - in 1987, it introduced the CADEX, the first mass-produced carbon road bike. The oversized fork steerer aims to increase the stiffness of the front of the frameset and steering for precise control. Oversized headset bearings (bottom 1 1/4" and top 1 1/8" on road bikes and bottom 1 1/2" and top 1 1/8" on MTB bikes) and tapered fork steerer are included for optimal steering stiffness .
A massively oversized bottom-bracket/chainstay area features a fully integrated, 86-millimeter wide bottom-bracket design (92-millimeter wide for off-road bikes). Asymmetric chainstays provide additional stiffness on the driveside and stability on the non-driveside.
Tubeless rims and tires have a design adapted for tubeless use, provided they are supplemented with sealant, tape and valves. Tubeless tires provide the rider with many benefits - the ability to run the tire with lower air pressure, which improves traction, lower rolling resistance compared to a tube tire, and less chance of a puncture.
