In race pace, every watt counts—and so does every confident lean through a corner. The Maxxis Aspen AT MTB tire gives you that lightweight feel when the course speeds up and the surface starts to change.
The Aspen AT tread builds on the race-proven DNA of the Aspen line, but it handles a wider range of surfaces—from hardpack to looser ground. That means you can keep your speed even off a pure race track.
The MaxxSpeed compound with a high silica content reduces rolling resistance while also improving grip in wet conditions. In practice, that means a smoother ride and more confident contact with the terrain.
EXO sidewall protection helps guard against cuts and abrasion without making the tire feel harsh. It’s a great fit for fast XC, marathons, and brisk rides on lighter trails.
The TR tubeless-ready design lets you run lower pressures for better traction and control. At the same time, it reduces the risk of pinch flats caused by pinching the tube.
The tire size is 29x2.40 inches, ideal for modern XC and downcountry bikes.
The ETRTO size is 61-622 for precise seating on a compatible rim.
The casing has a 120 TPI density for low rolling resistance and good trail feel.
The weight of one tire is 830 grams in black.
Maxxis Aspen AT MaxxSpeed/EXO/TR is a fast MTB tire that feels right at home on XC courses, yet won’t be thrown off by changing surfaces. If you want to ride quickly while still feeling confident in corners, this combination makes a lot of sense.
The folding kevlar bead makes handling easier, and the tubeless-ready construction gives you room to fine-tune pressure to match your riding style. The result is a balanced performance for racing and sporty riding alike.
