The new enduro tire from Maxxis named Assegai was developed with significant input from downhill legend Greg Minnaar.
The tread pattern is based on a combination of the proven Minion DHR II and DHF patterns in the center section, with DHF rolling well and providing confidence on hard terrain, in corners, on wet roots, and rocks, while DHR II adds speed and aggression during braking.
The design of the side lugs was inspired by another popular tire, the High Roller. To all this, add Wide Trail construction for wide rims, the option for tubeless use, an excellent compound, and you have an outstanding downhill tire.
