The Maxxis DTH (drop the hammer) is a smooth tire with amazing rolling capabilities, specifically designed for BMX racing.
However, it also proves useful in skateparks, slope style events, or anywhere on city streets.
With a highly durable 120 TPI casing construction, Kevlar folding bead, and especially EXO sidewall protection, it becomes a very resilient tire.
The tread compound is Dual Compound and the tire weighs 359 g.
The dual tread compounds use two different compounds. The centre of the tread uses a firmer compound to improve rolling resistance and create stronger braking edges, while the sidewalls and the tread side knobs use a softer compound for better control and cornering grip.
EXO is a puncture and abrasion resistant material that is added to the sidewalls of many Maxxis MTB and gravel tires. Choose EXO Protection for superior durability in gravel, XC and light trail riding.
