MET Trenta 3K Carbon MIPS helmet represents the pinnacle of road cycling protection, combining cutting-edge technology, light weight, and an aerodynamic design. The limited edition embodies MET’s commitment to performance and the relentless pursuit of victory, perfectly represented by Tadej Pogačar as one of the most talented and determined cyclists of all time.
Thanks to innovative 3K carbon technology, the helmet is exceptionally light yet strong. Carbon fibers make it possible to reduce EPS foam density by 20% without compromises in impact energy absorption, ensuring maximum safety while maintaining low weight.
The MIPS AIR® safety system is integrated directly into the helmet padding and provides advanced protection against rotational forces during impact. This system allows 10–15 mm of movement between the padding and the outer shell, thereby effectively reducing the risk of brain injury.
The helmet’s aerodynamic shape has been optimized in a wind tunnel to ensure efficient airflow, minimizing drag and maximizing head cooling while riding.
For comfortable and precise adjustment, the helmet is equipped with the Safe-T Orbital system, offering 360° adjustment, four vertical positions, and two occipital adjustment options.
Other practical features include 19 ventilation ports for optimal airflow, sunglasses ports with rubberized grips, and reflective elements to increase visibility in low-light conditions.
Mips is a technology in the form of a special yellow insert inside the helmet, which has the task of reducing rotational forces acting on the head and brain in the event of a crash or fall while riding a bicycle. In principle, Mips works between two layers of the helmet shell, which rotate in relation to each other during a fall. This technology is being used by more and more major and minor helmet manufacturers, so if a helmet has this technology, you can tell by the small yellow logo on the outside of the helmet. Currently there are about 5 kinds of Mips system.
