The development of the new Peaty's Rim Job tubeless rim tape involved riders, mechanics, and scientists alike.
The tape features high tensile strength, and thanks to its optimally tuned stretchiness and adhesive layer,
it perfectly adheres to the inner wall of the rim as if it were part of it.
Do you usually have trouble finding the valve hole? With Peaty’s Rim Tape, you can forget about this complication. The tape's transparency will always guide you with certainty.
The tape is 32 mm wide, and each roll in the package is 10 meters long.
Installation instructions:
1. After removing the tire, take off the old tape from the rim.
2. Thoroughly clean the inner wall of the rim using an alcohol-based degreaser.
3. Before applying the new tape, ensure the rim is dry and free of any dirt.
4. Start approximately 10 cm away from the valve hole and proceed towards it. Firmly
press the tape into the center of the rim's inner wall and smooth it towards the edges. Squeeze out any trapped air.
5. Continue in the same manner around the entire rim, again overlapping about 10 cm past the valve hole.
6. Puncture the tape with a sharp tip at the center of the valve hole.
7. Install the MK2 valve.
8. Fit the tubeless tire, fill it with Peaty’s Tubeless Sealant.
Inflate the tire to a higher pressure than you usually ride.
9. Shake the inflated tire thoroughly and let it settle.
10. Before riding, release the pressure to your desired riding level.
