The development of the new Peaty's Rim Job tubeless rim tape involved not only riders and mechanics but also scientists.
The tape features high tensile strength, and thanks to its optimally tuned stretchability and adhesive layer
it perfectly adheres to the inner rim wall as if it were part of it.
Do you usually have trouble finding the valve hole? With Peaty's Rim Tape, you can forget about this complication. The transparency of the tape will always guide you confidently.
The tape is 27 mm wide and each roll in the package is 10 m long.
Installation instructions:
1. After removing the tire, remove the old tape from the rim.
2. Thoroughly clean the inner rim wall using an alcohol-based degreaser.
3. Before applying the tape, ensure the rim is dry and free of any debris.
4. Start about 10 cm from the valve hole and proceed towards it. Firmly press the tape
into the center of the inner rim wall and smooth it towards the edges. Squeeze out any trapped air.
5. Continue the same way all around the rim, again with an overlap of about 10 cm beyond the valve hole.
6. Pierce the tape with a sharp point at the center of the valve hole.
7. Install the MK2 valve.
8. Mount the tubeless tire, fill it with Peaty’s Tubeless Sealant.
Inflate the tire to a higher pressure than you typically ride.
9. Thoroughly shake the inflated tire and let it settle.
10. Before riding, release the pressure to the desired riding level.
